You may have questions about what is color splash?
Color Splashes are pigment based with a small mixture of metallic substance, so you will want to shake it before using. It is archival, fast drying and fade resistant. It can be used on a variety of work surfaces like wood, chip board, card stock, water color paper, canvas and possibly more. You receive a 2 oz bottle that has a no clog nozzle. You can spritz your project, dilute with water for a water colored look, use with stencils and the gel press and so much more. Now is a great time to purchase one (or more) of the 17 exclusive colors at a 20% savings – each is regularly $7.95 but during April 2018, you can purchase each color splash for only $6.36. All 17 are available as a bundle that saves you money – but purchasing them individually this month saves you even more.
I hope you enjoy this video where I do a little experimenting with the Cool Pool Color Splash.
Here are some pictures of the results of my crafting experiment.
The image on the left is the color splash mixed with whip cream paint and used on a stencil. The images on the right are the color splash mixed with water for a water color look.
The image on the left is the color splash spritzed onto a whip cream cs with the bubble bubble stencil. The image on the right has the color splash that was left on the stencil from the piece on the left, I simply placed the side with the color splash on the stencil down onto the paper. The piece on the right also has color splash mixed with journey modeling paste that was spread across the bubble bubble stencil onto whip cream cs. I love the raised texture.
Top left piece is cool pool cs with cool pool splash spritzed on it, top right scrap of whip cream cs with cool pool splash spritzed on it – the different size droplets depend on how you squeeze the trigger and how far you are from the paper. The bottom left is river stone cs with cool pool splash spritzed on it and the bottom right is beach breeze with cool pool splash spritzed on it.
The piece on the left is whip cream cs with cool pool splash – I opened the bottle and used the tube that is connected to the sprayer to flick larger drops onto the paper. The piece on the right is oatmeal cookie with cool pool splash spritzed on it.
These snowflakes were created by mixing cool pool splash with whip cream paint. The one on the left was dabbed onto the stencil with a paint brush and the one on the right was painted onto the stencil with a paint brush. It has a very cool feel to it when you gently rub your finger on it.
I heat embossed the small bird from the Birdie Fest Stamp set with clear embossing powder. Then I spritzed cool pool splash on top. I saturated the one on the left more than the right and you can see that it soaks into the paper and is visible under the clear embossed image. I used cool pool cs on the left and watermelon fusion on the right. I like how the cool pool splash has a purplish look when absorbed into the watermelon fusion cs.
