The new Celebrating Life’s Moments -Spring into Summer is full of items that will help you create with compassion and bring smiles to many faces!
I created this card for sketch 26 over on the Journey Sketches FB group. It is a wonderful group with weekly sketch challenges and fabulous inspiration!
I used the Huge Hello die to create a faux eclipse look and added a subtle but oh so beautiful ombre effect to the edge of the hello. The result is stunning!
I used Pomegranate Splash CS with one of the beautiful flower printed paper from Sunday Adventure Prints. For the ombre hello, I used the following colors with Bubble Gum as the base of the hello, followed by Watermelon Fusion, Sweet Berry, Rich Coral, Cranberry Bliss, and Pomegranate Splash on the top to give the hello an “eclipse” look.
In this video, I share how I created this card but I use a different pattern paper and coordinating CS from the Sunday Adventure Prints and I love how it looks.
I am very tempted to create this card using more patterns and color combinations. Be sure to like my FB page, Create With Compassion, there may be a chance to win one in a few weeks. Be sure to set your notifications to your desired level so you don’t miss out on posts that you would like to see.
For the card demonstrated in the video, I used the adorable coffee paper from Sunday Adventure Prints and Summer Days CS. I used only Summer Days CS for the Hello to give it a solid “eclipse” look.
Here are the dimensions for this card:
Card Base – 8 1/2 by 5 1/2 folded in half for a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 card, 3 7/8 by 5 1/8
Black Licorice – 4 by 5 1/4
CS for hello die about 2 1/2 by 4 /34 for each hello diecut. Use the same color as cardbase or coordinating colors for a cool effect along the side of the hello diecut.
Printed Paper – 1 1/4 by 5 1/8
